There other types of bets that you may find quite confusing. You will find the term parlay to be mentioned a lot. A parlay is a combination of bets that you have to select the winner on all of them. For example let’s suppose that there is a UFC card and I want to make a parlay of different fights. I choose the fights that I will make the parlay and for to win the bet, all my selections have to win. If I choose 4 fights and I fail 1, I lose the bets. That is a more risky bet but obviously if you win the earnings will bigger because the parlay increases the value of the odds. I don’t usually recommend parlays to new gamblers because is kind of a long shot and it must be use on some cases. Sure there is sometimes where we want to make smaller bets for fun and parlays can be easily filling that roll. Another term you may encounter is teaser. A teaser is some special type of parlays where you adjust the point spread or odds of each of the components of the parlay. When you do this you will obviously lower the potential earnings of a parlay. For examples, suppose that you’re making a bet on a teaser and there 2 NBA games. The teaser may change the current point spread on one of the team. So that will increase your chances of winning the parlay but will reduce the chance of earning big.

There are other types of bet that I will discuss on another article. For new gamblers is better to stay on the basics because if you experiment too much you can end losing a lot of money. Of course there are gamblers that will bet for the only purpose of having fun and who doesn’t but you can have fun making a few straight bet and parlay on a UFC card or NBA night (just for example). One time I want to add is that when you gamble to risk money and with riskier bets you will earn more money and with safer bets you win less money. It’s just a matter of tastes and we will discuss a lot more on the next articles.

The first step is to register on a sports betting sites, you can choose the ones on our list or choose another one. The registration step is similar to other sites registration, you have to give you personal information because we’re dealing with money and the sportsbook have to be sure that you’re a real person and not a thieve that stole someone credit card and want to make some bets. Second step to bet on sports betting sites is to choose in what sports you will bet and what type of wager you will choose.  New people sometimes may get confuse with some terms, I will cover some of the typical terms that you will find in order that you don’t get confuse at the time of gamble. You will typically look for some good odds. The term odds refer to what a possible outcome can be. For example if a team has odds that produce little money that means that people believe the team is the favorite and that team has the most probability of win. Of course that numbers don’t compete but that is like guide for people at the time of wagering. You can also read the term, line, that is similar to odds it more specific to sports betting and include point spread options. Since we mentioned point spread we can explain a little about the term. Point spread is a term that is most use in sports when type of score is use, for example basketball. If a sports-book give a point spread of -8 to team x that means that team x has to win over that quantity of points. Some terms you will see a lot in sports betting sites are future and props. On the future section you will see odds that are put in advance, for example you can bet to who will win the NBA championship in advance. When you bet on props you will be wager for a specific type of be. For example, there is this boxing fight between boxer A and boxer B and there is a prop for boxer A ko boxer B. With props wager you can diversify the betting on a specific event. That is the great thing about sports betting, that you will have a few options to make some great bets.
